San Antonio, TX-based guitarist/composer/producer RON JARZOMBEK, affectionately called 'the Godfather of Technical Metal' by dedicated fans and critics alike, has been at the forefront of the progressive metal vanguard for over two decades during which time he has released some of the most innovative and challenging music in the world of heavy rock.

Ron first came to the metal world's attention as a member of legendary Texas outfit, S.A. SLAYER, before joining Austin, TX progressive metal trailblazers WATCHTOWER with whom he recorded the genre defining 'Control and Resistance' album in 1989.

In the Nineties, Ron spearheaded madcap (mostly) instrumentalists SPASTIC INK, also featuring brother/drummer Bobby Jarzombek and bassist Pete Perez, who released a pair of celebrated albums, 'Ink Complete' (1997) and 'Ink Compatible' (2004), respectively. Ron also issued two solo albums, 'Solitarily Speaking of Theoretical Confinement' (2002) and 'PHHHP! Plus' (2009), a collection of early demos.

In 2005, Ron formed technical extreme metal all-stars BLOTTED SCIENCE with Cannibal Corpse bassist Alex Webster whose highly acclaimed debut album, 'The Machinations of Dementia', was released in 2007. Joined by drummer Hannes Grossmann of Obscura fame, the trio issued 'The Animation Of Entomology' 7-song EP in October 2011.

Ron and Hannes also teamed up in TERRESTRIAL EXILED, rounded out by Obscura guitarist Christian Muenzner and Spastic Ink bassist Pete Perez, whose exclusive digital single, 'Duodecimal Levorotation', was released in May 2011.

As a guest musician, Ron has recorded and toured with notable artists such as Marty Friedman (Megadeth), Jeff Loomis (Nevermore), Obscura, Gordian Knot (feat. members of King Crimson, Cynic & Dream Theater), and Chris Adler (Lamb Of God).

British author Joel McIver hailed Ron as "the most underrated axemonger ever” in his 2009 book 'The 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists.'
